Relief efforts for Hurricane Helen are still on going. The Tennessee Assembly donated supplies and water to drop off sites in East Tennessee including Newport. Volunteers drove the supplies to the drop off locations. Recently, The Tennessee Assembly donated $750.00 to The North Carolina Assembly Militia who is still providing relief to people devastated by the flooding.
